Who am I
I have a wealth of experience of social and community care settings including Social work, work overseas, managing services, eight years as a local Green Party councilor, establishing many local community projects and most recently over eight years with an innovative community building project in Gloucestershire.
Why
I am passionate about environmental and social justice and helping people imagine and build more welcoming and inclusive communities. Since my T3 prostate cancer diagnosis I have been fortunate to have worked with the integrative cancer care charity, Yes to Life and in particular helping them establish a programme of regular expert speakers, peer-led support groups and regular well-being groups.
Specialties
I see the huge opportunities that integrative approach can bring to conventional approaches – not least recognizing that our health is intrinsically linked to the health of our communities and planet. Current cancer-related projects include work locally to increase opportunities for movement/exercise and a project working with artists.
