Giulia Timm Lima

I am Giulia, a Dentistry graduate and a passionate advocate for health and well-being. Throughout my career as a dentist, I was driven by the desire to contribute to healthier lives and brighter smiles. However, it was during a course focused on healthcare innovation that I discovered my true calling: to challenge existing boundaries. Whether these boundaries are demographic, financial, geographical, or social, they will have my attention. This passion led me to pursue a master’s degree in Life Sciences Entrepreneurship, where I am acquiring the tools to bridge the gap between ideas, healthcare, and business.

I am from Brazil, a country where I have unfortunately witnessed the barriers to accessing healthcare firsthand. Fortunately, I have not personally experienced cancer as a patient, although I have closely supported family members through their journeys with the disease. Often, the ideas and technologies needed to provide better care already exist, yet they do not reach everyone - sometimes due to a lack of information, connections, or resources. Using the privilege of having access to quality education and an exceptional community to help those facing these challenges is a way of honoring where I come from, and supporting other societies with similar struggles.
