Emily Watela Wekesa

My name is Emily Watela Wekesa. I am a devoted mother of two adults and a loving wife to one husband. As a dedicated cervical cancer champion , caregiver, and advocate ,I am passionate about raising awareness and education on crucial health issues such as the HPV vaccine, cervical, breast and prostate cancer. I serve as a global breast cancer educator and hold the position of Executive member of Warriors Of Hope Organisation, Additionally ,I am an ambassador for Afresh Chapter and a member of Cervical Cancer Elimination Team In Africa .I actively visit schools ,churches, Mens and Women groups, and any other platforms to spread awareness and support for cancer education, the importance of vaccinating our girls with HPV Vaccine ,encouragement, prevention, and better care in cancer space. My position allows me to be the voice for those affected, ensuring they receive the support and information they need during and after their treatment.

I decided to advocate for cancer patients and champions, because I saw the gaps and I thought it’s a high time to stand in the gap, because what I went through it was not easy and I would not wish to see anybody going through the same. Also am happy and humble to join this great team of Inspire 2 live, its because we share the common goals and passion for making a difference. I believe in the power of collaboration and excited to learn from others, exchange new ideas and connect with likeminded individuals. I believe together we can achieve great things.

My speciality lies in advocacy within the cancer space, focusing on raising awareness , providing education and driving initiatives for prevention and early detection .Additionally ,I offer psychosocial support to the community ,helping individual’s and families navigate the emotional and psychological challenges associated with cancer.
