We are happy and proud about our past congress of January that relied on ‘Evidence, Arrogance, Ignorance, Eminence’ at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. All participants and our speakers blew our mind and we are still thrilled after all those weeks.
An exciting part of the congress was the Inspire2Live Patient Advocate Hero of Cancer award for Laura van ‘t Veer and Bob Weinberg. Read all about it via this link >>
What also counts is the output of our congress. We already noticed that several participants connected and started cooperating. This will most certainly lead to promising results. For the subpart of our program whereby we all go out in the city, split in groups, we were among others with Frame Therapeutics. This organization is founded by Ronald Plasterk, Dinko Valerio and Bob Lowenberg. It stands for personalized anticancer vaccines, available off-the-shelf, anywhere. When this turns out to be successful, we will cooperate with Frame to bring these vaccines to all the patients that need them. We are convinced it will be very promising and successful!
Another result of our congress is that we will start with the so called ‘Inspire2Live Hubs’ in Africa, Asia, South America and North America. Inspire2Live Hubs mean cooperation between well-known scientists, that want to act as scholar activists and senior patient advocates. Our goal is to bring scientifically proven better therapies that do not reach the right patients, to patients in all parts of the world.
