Inspire2Live has awarded Dr. Bob Pinedo and Fr. Fritz Schröder, both Emeritus Professor, with the Patient Advocate Hero of Cancer Award for their lifelong achievement in putting patients first.
Theme of the Inspire2Live annual congress 2018 is “The countless small deeds of the unknown people”. Both Dr. Pinedo and Dr. Schröder have proven that they always had the patient in mind. Making sure that patients receive the best possible treatment. Their determination and perseverance to get the best possible treatments for their patients is of great importance to Inspire2Live.
We award Dr. Schröder for his compassionate involvement with patients and patient advocates. His firm believe to work together with patients have really made a difference. His continuous presence at our congresses for many years now is of great value for all the activities of Inspire2Live and therefore of patients.
Dr. Pinedo is a great example of how a renowned doctor and cancer researcher can combine a lifelong curiosity and interest in patients with scientific and medical relevance. Dr. Pinedo is such a brilliant mind and is always looking for other options for the best of his patients. His award is so much deserved.
The awards have been handed out at our annual Inspire2Live congress, held from 7 to 9 February 2018, at the NDSM-wharf in Amsterdam.
