Who am I
I am an honest and passionate individual who believes that life is meant to be collective and interconnected—that true growth and meaning come through these connections. I have a keen passion for human psychology and the art of observation and expression.
Some may consider me an idealist, but what is idealism if not a profound belief that things can improve? A deep conviction in the human potential to achieve the good we all deserve? I deeply believe idealism is not mere daydreaming, but a guiding force, rooted in the belief that humanity can reach higher levels of ethical and moral existence through reason and collective effort. And that constitutes my conviction.
Why
Life has brought me through unexpected challenges, reshaping how I understand resilience and live empathy. For me, everything goes back to humanity; human connection with self, others, and the universe. Surviving cancer connected me to the struggles that patients and survivors face every day. It then fuelled my commitment to advocating for others in the healthcare system. "Others" are not strangers; they are people just like you and me. Yet, not everyone has privileges like access to inclusive healthcare or an unwavering support system.
Long before cancer, it was working as a clinical pharmacist that brought me to the recognition of the need for a stronger connection between healthcare providers and patients—a gap I felt compelled to address and help bridge. My passion for human rights has driven me to advocate for a range of causes, but facing cancer firsthand and the sufferings that came along with it gave me an intensified resolve to take my advocacy further. When something hits close to home, it awakens a strength to drive change, and that’s the energy that has led me to Inspire2Live and continues to empower me in patient advocacy.
Cancer patients need more advocates who understand that every stage of their journey—both within and beyond healthcare—should be inclusive and deserves respect, compassion, and tailored support. That is why I am now with Inspire2Live: to help ensure these needs are recognised, amplifying patient voices and striving to create a healthcare system and a quality of life that shines through equality, dignity, and compassion.
