About Harald zur Hausen
Professor zur Hausen is has been awarded the Nobelprize in Physiology or Medicine (2008) for his work on HPV as the cause of several cancers among them cervical cancer one of the mayor causes of death in Africa. Professor zur Hausen has worked internationally and his discovery that HPV is the cause of cervical cancer (and other cancers) has saved many lives through vaccination. In HPV related activities Professor zur Hausen used to advise Inspire2Live. He passed away on May 28, 2023. We make a vow to never ever quit and continue his fight against the deadly disease cancer.
