Professor Barré-Sinoussi has dedicated her whole live on studying viruses. Her discovery of the HIV virus has saved millions of people’s lives. For the people around the world who don’t have access to AIDS drugs, she has been a tireless advocate. She is the 2008 Nobel Laureate in Medicine or Physiology.
