Rosa Ongeso

A seasoned development professional who has served in various capacities in the development sector since 1993 with several years of exposure to international development partners, public and non-governmental sectors and the diplomatic community. I have tested experience in strategic communications and advocacy, programme management, capacity development, resource mobilisation and diplomacy. Since 2014, as a cancer survivor, I've engaged and participated in efforts to promote cancer awareness, prevention and care giving. I was among pioneer members of the Kenya Network of Cancer Organisations(KENCO) that enables a united approach to Cancer Control in Kenya as well as founder member of the Partnership for the Eradication of Cancer in Africa(PECA). Currently, I provide leadership to PECA-Kenya.

Patients are at the centre of affliction, treatment, survival and living beyond cancer. Their full participation and voice in the cycle of cancer management is so crucial.
