Who am I
I am a breast cancer survivor, researcher, educator, and patient advocate who believes that every patient’s experience has the power to improve healthcare. My journey with cancer has given me a unique perspective that combines personal experience with a scientific background in biotechnology and bioinformatics.
Through my advocacy, I aim to amplify patients’ voices, promote evidence-based care, encourage patient-centered research, and help bridge the gap between scientists, clinicians, and the people they serve. I am passionate about empowering patients through education, collaboration, and innovation, and I believe that meaningful progress happens when patients are true partners in research and healthcare decisions.
Why
I joined Inspire2Live because I believe that patients should be active partners in shaping the future of cancer care and research. My own experience as a breast cancer patient, together with my professional background in biomedical research, has shown me how valuable the patient perspective is in driving meaningful change.
I want to contribute to a global community that shares knowledge, supports one another, and works collaboratively with researchers, healthcare professionals, and policymakers to improve outcomes and quality of life for people affected by cancer. By combining lived experience with scientific understanding, I hope to advocate for more patient-centered, evidence-based, and accessible healthcare.
Specialties
My areas of interest and expertise include breast cancer advocacy, cancer survivorship, patient-centered research, precision medicine, bioinformatics and genomics, microbiome research, clinical and translational research, multi-omics data analysis, artificial intelligence in healthcare, health education, research communication, and strengthening collaboration between patients, researchers, and healthcare professionals. I am particularly passionate about translating scientific discoveries into meaningful improvements in patient care and ensuring that the patient voice is integrated throughout the research and innovation process.
