Who am I
I am a Biotechnology Graduate and hold a Doctorate in Science and Technology from the National University of Quilmes (UNQ) in Argentina. I currently serve as a professor-researcher at UNQ and as an Adjunct Researcher at CONICET, Argentina, where I have been a member of the Center for Molecular and Translational Oncology for over 15 years. Additionally, I direct the Biotechnology Services Platform at UNQ. I have been involved in various translational projects and public-private partnerships.
My work focuses on the development of novel cancer therapies, exploring different strategies to enhance current treatments and seek less toxic alternatives.
Why
Why
Required field As a scientist working in the field of oncology, I have a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges involved in developing new cancer therapies. However, my role as a researcher has also made me acutely aware of the importance of patient advocacy and the need to incorporate the patient's perspective into the research process.
I believe that becoming a cancer advocate is a natural extension of my work as a scientist, as it allows me to bridge the gap between the laboratory and the clinic. By engaging directly with patients, I can gain valuable insights into their needs, concerns, and experiences. This first-hand knowledge is crucial for ensuring that the research I conduct is relevant, meaningful, and responsive to the real-world challenges faced by those affected by cancer.
