Who am I
I am the President of Bladder Cancer Senegal, as well as the founder and President of NajeeClassroom, an online early childhood learning and early intervention program. I am a bladder cancer patient and advocate, as well as a disability advocate, dedicated to improving healthcare access and support for patients in underserved communities.
Why
I joined Inspire2Live because, as a patient, I experienced firsthand the serious challenges faced by people in Senegal when trying to access cancer treatment and medication. As a bladder cancer patient, I was unable to receive appropriate care in Senegal and had to relocate to Lisbon, Portugal, for treatment. I also realized that there is very little information available about bladder cancer in women, which motivated me to speak out and take action.
Specialties
Professionally, I am an early childhood education specialist, a play therapy practitioner, and a mental health practitioner. These roles allow me to support children’s development holistically, while my personal experience as a cancer patient has shaped my advocacy and humanitarian efforts.
